Job Description
Carrying out the design of Fire Protection System & Plumbing Drainage (PHE) system for Data Centers, Electric Vehicle manufacturers, EV battery manufacturer’s, Paint and industrial projects as per the applicable codes and standards and ensuring quality deliverables with safety in design.
Responsibilities
FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM
Responsible for the design and specification of fire suppression systems including wet- pipe, dry-pipe, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and storage tanks on a wide variety of project types.
Knowledge of special systems such as foam, spray, mist, clean agent, wet/dry chemical, and carbon dioxide is preferred
Keep up to date with latest industry practices, codes & standards like IS, NBC, NFPA, ISO, ASME
Perform hydraulic calculations and work with outside resources to incorporate special hazard systems Preparation of data sheets and material requisition
Coordinate with other disciplines, clients, and other stake holders to develop a clash free system design
Responsible to manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule and budget. · Review contractor shop drawings, field inspections, and testing and commissioning reports. Coordinate with all disciplines for ensuring the package battery limits and incorporation of Vendor data
Review the 3D model on Navisworks and provide feedback to all the stakeholders
Responsible for overall technical management / co-ordination with Contractors and site team as required to resolve RFI’s
PHE SYSTEM
Responsibility for the overall design of Plumbing & fire protection systems & deliverables,
including Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Tender Design / Documentation (including Technical Specifications, BOQ, Schedules and Drawings)
Design and Selection of Hot water system, Sizing of grease trap, organic waste
Strong Plumbing experience in design of industrial, residential, commercial and Hotel
Sizing and routine of water distribution system (Cold and Hot water).
Sizing, selection and space planning of water and sewage treatment plant.
Design and sizing of rainwater harvesting and disposable system.
Design and sizing of storm and sewer drainage.
Organize, assign, and delegate necessary engineering and design tasks to produce
Manage scope, budget, and schedule to meet project goals.
architectural and process to develop designs
Independently lead plant design activities as an area/system leader and coordinate with
multi-discipline designers.
Ability to design complete distribution systems to current legislation and codes of practice
for various type of buildings based on applicable Codes and Standards
Perform quality review checks for 2D/3D modelling and Plumbing & deliverables.
Keep up to date with latest industry practices, codes & standards like IS, NBC, IBC,
NFPA, IPC, UPC, CPHHEO manuals.
Review contractor shop drawings, field inspections, and testing and commissioning
reports. Coordinate with all disciplines for ensuring the package battery limits and incorporation of Vendor data
- DME /ITI in fire engineering, mechanical engineering, or any related engineering field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5-15 years Experience in design Consultancy or Contractor (Essential)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks is essential
- Experience with any 3D modeling tool like SmartPlant 3D or REVIT, , Bluebeam, Knowledge of Auto Pipe, Autocad Plant 3D will be an added advantage
