As a Lead Manufacturing Engineering Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes in Ciudad Juarez. You will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing process improvements to optimize production efficiency. Your expertise and leadership will contribute to the success of our SMT (Surface Mount Technology) business. You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Ciudad Juarez location. In this role, you will impact the quality and productivity of our manufacturing operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards and are delivered on time to our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Developing, maintaining, and optimizing programs for all SMT and though hole circuit board assembly, soldering and inspection equipment.
• Develop and perform setup / change over procedures on equipment to ready for the next work order. Troubleshoot, root cause and document defective product or process failures.
• Program, Debug, Setup, Operate and Maintain: Pick & Place equipment, Reflow Ovens, Screen Printers, Solder Paste Inspection equipment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and optimize production efficiency
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures or quality issues.
• Coordinate, plan resources and manage support Production Sustaining and multiple projects as NPI to successful completion.
• Implement daily lean management systems to support business operations, working towards process optimization to achieve company KPI’s.
• Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure their technical skills and knowledge are developed
• Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and equipment specifications.
• Interaction with Suppliers related to the Stencil & Fixture design and fabrication.
• Define, Execute and Measure the efficiency of Preventive Maintenance programs
YOU MUST HAVE • High School Diploma
• Strong experience in a manufacturing engineering or technician role
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes and equipment.
• Strong Knowledge about SMED technics & 5'S
• Lean Manufacturing Concepts
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques
