Description
APPLE INC has the following available in Austin, Texas. Design and develop advanced software systems and applications. Understand the technical challenges and propose engineering solutions to overcome the hurdles and limitations. Provide technical expertise and direction on application architecture, drive and use best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute on software development projects. Work with stakeholders and customers to understand the business requirements. Work with internal teams to define infrastructure interfaces and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand interdependencies. Gather and document technical requirements and specifications. Ensure that software systems have high availability, scalability, and reliability. Work with peer engineers to continuously improve the quality of the software deliverable under development, support existing releases, and participate in software validation. 40 hours/week.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
  • Java
  • Software Development Lifecycle
  • Test Automation
  • Algorithms and Data Structures
  • NoSQL technologies – MongoDB, Couchbase
  • Search Techniologies – Solr
  • DevOps Technologies – GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes
