What you need to know about the role:

Your day to day:

• Direct the execution of a high performing engineering organization responsible for ads, consumer app infrastructure, loyalty and rewards platforms, personalization, and core Honey/ads capabilities.

• Define and execute the software development strategy across multiple domains in alignment with PayPal’s enterprise priorities.

• Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale, high-impact programs, ensuring architectural integrity, performance, and maintainability.

• Build strong relationships with cross-functional executives to align technology investments with business outcomes.

• Drive the organizational roadmap for your domain; ensure alignment with company-wide strategy.

• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and high accountability.

• Serve as a thought leader and advisor to senior executives across engineering and product.

What you bring:

• Degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.

• 15+ years of experience in engineering, building platforms at scale.

• 10+ experience in leading technical organizations.

• Strong architectural and operational understanding of cloud-native infrastructure and platform engineering.

• Experience directing roadmaps for multiple domains with enterprise-wide impact.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and executive stakeholder management skills.

• A track record of translating strategic business goals into high-impact engineering roadmaps.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive clarity across complex, cross-functional environments.
