You will be working on operating the infrastructure and applications as part of Nexus Dashboard Insights engineering team. This highly scalable service provides Intent-Based Management, Orchestration, and Data Analytics functions for our customers to securely operate their global infrastructure across on-premises data centers.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in deploying, testing, and automating new products and features.
- Support serviceability of the products and provide actionable feedback to the engineering teams for improvements.
- Document to assist our customers and internal staff to better understand product and feature usage.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and System Engineering teams to provide technical assistance
- Work closely with software development and marketing teams to understand the product requirements and come up with an accurate test and automation plan.
Minimum Qualifications:
We are looking for a skilled software professional with over 11+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or in a similar technical role.
- Experience in Automating test plans using Python is required.
- Good experience with 3+ years of proven track record with networking protocols, including Layer 2 switches, VLAN, STP, UDLD, and Layer 3 routers like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, and IP.
- Proficiency in performing Kubernetes commands, checking pod statuses, and reviewing service logs is essential
- Actively participate in deploying, testing, and automating new products and features.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cisco Nexus switches and ACI technology
- Proficiency in crafting dashboards using Grafana and Influx DB
- Proficiency in network virtualization technologies, including VXLAN and related concepts such as VTEPs, VNIs, and overlay/underlay networks.
- Experience with Ethernet VPN (EVPN) and BGP EVPN for running control planes in VXLAN deployments.
- Familiarity with multicast and unicast traffic handling within VXLAN environments.
- Understanding of Data Center Interconnect (DCI) solutions using VXLAN for maintaining Layer 2 connectivity across multiple data centers.
