JOB DESCRIPTION

As a

Tool & Die Technician
Your skills and expertise will directly impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Tool and Die Fabrication:

Read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints to create precision tools and dies using various machining techniques.

Operate and program CNC machines to shape and form metal components accurately.

Utilize conventional machining tools such as milling machines, lathes, grinders, and EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.

Maintenance and Repair:

Conduct routine maintenance on existing tools, dies, molds, and fixtures to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tools and dies to minimize downtime and maintain a smooth production process.

Perform necessary repairs and modifications to improve the functionality of tools and dies.

Precision Measurement:

Use precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMMs to verify the accuracy and quality of tools and dies.

Ensure that the finished products meet the specified tolerances and quality standards.

Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to understand project requirements and contribute to design improvement discussions.

Provide valuable insights and suggestions to enhance the manufacturability of components and optimize production processes.

Quality Control:

Conduct rigorous inspections at different stages of tool and die fabrication to maintain high-quality standards.

Implement corrective actions to address any deviations or non-conformances.

Material Selection:

Choose appropriate materials for tool and die construction, considering factors such as durability, hardness, and thermal stability.

MUST HAVE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent technical certification in Tool & Die Making or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Tool & Die Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating CNC machines and conventional machining tools.
  • Solid knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Strong understanding of precision measurement instruments and quality control processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in Thai (spoken and written) with basic English communication skills.

WE VALUE:

Apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty

Significant experience in the field or related area

Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures

May lead/direct the work of others

FAA experience

Manufacturing experience preferred
