You will need to be collaborative and influential, working across functions to execute the charter. You’ll engage with SLs to align business needs, leverage existing solutions, and drive strategic outcomes. Additionally, you’ll identify and streamline interlocks between Talent Service Delivery, Talent Ops/Audits, and the CoE.

Your key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the development of the CoE function strategy and roadmap in collaboration with CoE leaders.
  • Support the CoE in designing a sustainable and scalable process framework across all GDS locations.
  • Facilitate change and support the implementation and successful adoption of special projects and initiatives, e.g., global project cascades, GDS feasibility assessments, and evaluations of current and future ecosystems arising from turnkey projects.
  • Ensure that functional operating capabilities (e.g., processes, technology, data, and organisation/people) are appropriate to achieve the CoE strategy and performance targets. Where possible, optimise the CoE service delivery model in alignment with the overall Talent operating model strategy and standards.
  • Collaborate with process owners in the CoE to co-define and co-deliver solutions aligned with business expectations and Talent strategy.
  • Work with Talent process, technology, and data specialists to review, reject, or prioritise change requests originating from the CoE.
  • Ensure timely governance and leadership decisions within the CoE and communicate these effectively to team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide effective CoE performance reporting to enable stakeholders with insightful, accurate, and timely reports on function performance (e.g., service delivery volumes, costs, emerging trends).
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the CoE team (e.g., process streamlining, optimising, and standardising delivery across GDS).
  • Define a function vendor strategy as required and manage vendor relationships to optimise service delivery standards and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and manage risks (e.g., statutory compliance, audit findings).

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in service operations.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness, with the ability to develop clear, actionable plans supporting overall Talent strategy.
  • Ability to engage and influence others, with strong change management skills and a desire to act as a change agent.
  • Strong delivery focus and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across all organisational levels.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with Talent CoE teams to ensure centrally developed products and initiatives meet business/Talent requirements.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build consensus across diverse, often global, groups.

  • Proven ability to align leadership across conflicting priorities and viewpoints, with advanced influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, programme management, and problem-solving skills.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Graduate or a post graduate qualification in a Business or Human Resource discipline is desirable.
