As a Lead Network Technology Support, you will be responsible for providing complex technical support of the Classic and Cloud Radio Access Network (RAN). Reporting, tracking, documenting, and driving various support groups - to include ATS and/or OEM vendors - is an essential skill for this position to diagnose, restore, and accurately report on network events.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Leads the mentoring program for new Tier 2 team members with processes and policies as well as technical training
Leads Tier 2 special projects, develop and test tools, write new processes and job aids
Assisting with the development, integration, testing, and life cycle management of automation and applications used to support the RAN network is integral to this role as well
Ticket management with advanced support engagement and follow up
Field personnel technical support
Technical project assignments with technical writing experience
Fault and performance troubleshooting analysis in conjunction with Tier 3 partners
Evaluate network impact and recommend or take recovery action in collaboration with peer team
Technical bulletin review, interpretation, and presentation to the team
RCA experts – perform all technical RCA investigations, document learns and drive improvement opportunities
Script writing and tool development
RAN Network audits and analysis
Required Experience
5-8 years’ experience, Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role
Expert level experience troubleshooting, maintaining, configuring, provisioning, and supporting Ericsson RAN equipment (4G = eNodeB, 5G = gNodeB)
Must be willing to work any shift to provide 24x7 network support
Strong understanding of Cloud related concepts such as Kubernetes(K8), VNF & Orchestration is required
Desired Qualifications:
Trained and competent in the use of RF related performance tools (Arieso, Optima, etc.)
The candidate is fluent with Linux and comfortable working on software applications using Linux
Fluent with common security policy, procedure and UAM protocols (TACACS and LDAP)
Coding and programming skills are highly desirable
Seen as a model for others to proactively accomplish results and follow through on commitments
Desired Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering (preferred), or equivalent related network experience preferred.
Our Lead Network Technology Support earn between $106,100 - $159,100 annually. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
