General Purpose

As a Junior Data & Platform Engineer in the EU Digital Analytics team at adidas, you will be part of a highly engaged, multinational agile team, in charge of creating, maintaining and enhancing digital data products, reporting to the Manager ML Ops & Data Engineering who is co-located in our team’s Gurgaon Tech Hub.

You will closely partner with the community of data analysts, scientists and engineers both in our Tech Hub and in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the EU eCom Digital data assets, data pipelines in our Global Data Lakehouse, and ensure our Power BI dashboards are set up according to defined best practices in terms of setup, governance, security, accessibility, & scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Monitoring

Develop Data pipelines using Apache Spark in the Cloud environment.

Create Fact Tables to be used by the Analytics team in Databricks Lakehouse.

Code in SQL, Python and/or Scala.

Automate processes by implementing CI/CD in Jenkins.

Have the passion and ability to write clean, readable, well-designed, and well-documented code along with tests.

Participate in all Sprint Rituals in collaboration with the EU eCom team in Amsterdam and the data engineers in our Gurgaon tech hub.

Help implement new reporting structures within your area of responsibility.

Ensure data accuracy, timeliness and quality across the outputs provided.

Monitor the health of critical data pipelines and set up automated structure to do so.

Power BI Reports Governance

Carry out basic Power BI dashboard updates & enhancements as per analyst requirements.

Coordinate with analysts & PBI platform team to set up the relevant PBI workspaces across environments.

Create & maintain Ad groups with the appropriate data acces & security across user groups.

Ensure the team’s PBI reporting ecosystem respects best practices & internal guidelines in terms of setup, governance, security, accessibility, & scalability.
