As a Manager on the Philosophy and Intent team, you will leverage your expertise to deliver innovative talent and performance strategies to support our shared business goals. With an emphasis on consulting and research, you’ll support the design and implementation of TM/PM products, processes, and practices to help ensure Capital One has an industry-leading human capital approach across the associate life-cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Work across teams and stakeholders to play a leading role in the evolution of talent and performance management at Capital One
Leverage existing research and data or help lead new research efforts to support the development of data-backed plans for our talent and performance management products and processes
Lead management and delivery of initiatives and projects with enterprise-wide impact
Build subject matter expertise across talent and performance management domains, as well as Capital One HR products, programs, and processes
Help identify key opportunities within our talent and performance management processes
Develop presentations or materials that can be consumed by a variety of audiences, including senior leaders
Proactively partner with colleagues in LOB HR, Product, Design and other partner teams to support alignment of strategies and process elements for day-to-day activities the team manages
Support TM/PM philosophy viewpoints in various forums, such as trainings and office hours or written Q&A

Partnership: Proactive stakeholder management with colleagues across Capital One including: HR, Product, Operations, and others to drive associate experience improvements and business results.
Strategic & Analytic orientation: Ability to leverage disparate data sources, including quantitative and qualitative data, to develop summaries and insights that can inform perspectives and decisions.
Business communication: Impeccable written and oral communication skills, including strong visualization skills (i.e., able to “tell the story” and highlight key insights in a clear and concise manner that is easily understood by stakeholders at all levels).
Results focus: Drives for results and achieves important goals applying strong organizational skills and detail orientation
Analysis: Identify opportunities for improvement and use data to make strategic and tactical recommendations
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 3 years of client facing experience OR at least 3 years of consulting experience OR a combination
At least 3 years of experience in Human Resources
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or Master’s Degree
Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or coaching certification
6+ years of client facing experience or 6+ years of consulting experience or a combination
4+ years of experience in in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting
