Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in audit activities from planning to reporting by engaging with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate and report on the design and operating effectiveness of control framework.
- Identifying and analyzing risks in our businesses and/or technology and evaluating the controls established to mitigate those risks and testing controls by reviewing documents, observing the teams and meeting with management.
- Collect evidences obtained as part of audit process and maintain documentation following the Firmwide and Internal Audit standards.
- Identify opportunities for increased usage of Automation or Data Analytics to facilitate increased efficiencies and improved quality of testing in the audit process.
- Keep up to date with evolving industry and regulatory developments impacting the firm.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Chartered Accountant / Masters in Business Administration/ Bachelors of commerce/ Masters of commerce (Finance) / with relevant work experience of minimum 12 months
- Understand internal control concepts with the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy of control design and operating effectiveness by considering business and technology risks in an integrated manner.
- Execute effectively and efficiently audit testing and complete audit work paper documentation in a timely manner.
- Possess strong analytical skills, willing and able to learn new business, processes and systems quickly and be highly motivated
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications such as Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Prior experience with a large accounting or advisory firm/ Internal audit department in financial services/broader experience within financial services industry is a plus
- Certified internal auditor and/or Advanced Degree in Finance or Accounting, specialized knowledge areas such as fiduciary risk, anti-money laundering etc. would be preferred.
