Risk Technology provides the firm with a suite of applications and processes to manage risk across a number of areas/pillars, including Market Risk, Wholesale Credit Risk and Asset Wealth Management Risk.

As a cross-pillar leader in Project Execution, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing projects to ensure successful definition and delivery of agreed scope.
You will have the opportunity to both define and drive a variety of strategies and project deliveries. You'll work closely with the Risk Technology leadership to identify and prioritize projects that serve the best interest of the risk division. To drive cross-pillar Project Execution, you’ll partner with your Project Execution colleagues within each pillar.

This role will also involve working with the central Corporate Technology program team to help define and implement an approach that will provide full investment transparency to all stakeholders. Spending time with the Risk Engineering teams will be essential to understand how work executes today and building relationships with key project execution stakeholders across Corporate Technology and the Risk Management organisation. You will review project execution ownership models and ensure we have appropriate execution governance in place.

You'll work with the agility and program offices to improve how investments are structured and run, working with key functional and technical subject matter experts across the organisation.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage cross-pillar program execution, driving the successful delivery of technology initiatives
  • Facilitate collaboration across diverse teams to design solutions and drive the programs implementation
  • Define workstreams and provide leadership across those workstreams; set scope, direction/approach, agree and track deliverables
  • Manage critical dependencies across pillars and with other teams within the firm
  • Identify and mitigate risks
  • Ensure issues are proactively identified and addressed
  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels with stakeholders
  • Execute on the governance for key Risk Technology programs, working with the senior management to review progress, risks and milestones for key programs on a regular cadence
  • Define how we tell the investment story for Risk Technology to key partners.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and efficiency
  • Utilize the agile process and methodologies to support the development of solutions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Demonstrated experience in driving complex investment programs
  • Problem solving capability and execution-driven mindset
  • Energy and ability to drive forward projects towards completion, identifying key risks, issues and dependencies, and working to resolve / escalate these where required.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating discussions to design technology solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to work through the detail of how an engineering organisation operates today, and understand the strengths and weaknesses of that approach.
  • Experience in driving cultural change across a globally diverse organisation
  • Experience in agile transformation at scale
  • Experience in working with and leveraging a data driven approach to decision making
  • Demonstrate how goals can be achieved at a low cost / high levels of data driven automation
