Defines software application architecture across client, cloud, or enterprise. Makes highlevel design choices focused on manageability, scalability, usability, resiliency, availability, security, and/or safety for the software structure, protocols, and algorithms. Determines coding, development tools, validation, and standards compliance requirements. Collaborates with management, product owners, and project managers to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development. Performs pathfinding, surveys technologies, participates in standards committees, and presents at external and internal events. Interacts with multiple technologists in the company to influence architectures and optimize/customize software offerings. As a principal engineer, recognized as a domain expert who influences and drives technical direction across Intel and industry. Develops and mentors other technical leaders, grows the community, acts as a change agent, and role models Intel values. Aligns organizational goals with technical vision, formulates technical strategy to deliver leadership solutions, and demonstrates a track record of relentless execution in bringing products and technologies to market.Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Responsibilities: Provide deep technical analysis of cloud-native architectures and architect Intel software and services that take advantage of Intel platform capabilities. The ideal candidate is a senior-level, strong technical contributor with developed customer engagement skills, and software architecture experience leading a highly scalable, available and resilient public/private/multi-cloud solution successfully into production. Research and recommend the technology to improve the current systems to support the organization's strategic vision. Work with fellow architects in a cross-functional architecture group to create architectural artifacts, governance, and decisions related to Product, Technology, and system tradeoffs.Provide career advise and mentor other junior Architects and Engineers. Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:BS in computer science or related field with 12+ years of relevant experience7+ years experience as a software, application or solution architect5+ years experience in working with microservices/event-driven and containerization, including orchestration, cluster management, and container storage, including Docker and Kubernetes5+ years experience in cloud native development5+ years experience with cloud infrastructure definition such as monitoring, telemetry, automated deployment (CI/CD), and autoscaling in environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)5+ years experience working with AWS cloud services like ECS, EKS, RDS, Open Search/Elastic Search, Lambda, MSK, S3, or similar cloud services if coming from other cloud experiences Preferred Qualifications: Experience in AWS/Azure/GCP with expertise in cloud networking, cloud security, service mesh, SQL/no-SQL databasesExperience with application performance analysis and monitoring, including ELK, Prometheus, and GrafanaExperience with an Agile release methodologyAbility to learn and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.Significant experience with Windows and/or Linux operating system environmentsArchitect-level public cloud certifications Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry-relevant job experience, internship experiences, and or schoolwork/classes/research.We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
