Key job responsibilities
Design Industrial Electrical Control Panel schematics following industry best practices.
Review specifications and schematics for compliance with relevant safety standards such as NFPA79 and UL508a.Specify, Integrate and Deploy AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies as part of Electrical Control Panels in industrial automation equipment.
Specify, Integrate and Deploy semi-custom batteries in industrial automation systems.
Ensure the specifications of the power system meet the customer needs as well as regulatory requirements.
Coordinate all activities within the engineering discipline for the project.
Ensure coordination with other disciplines is effective for each project.
Thorough understanding of technical principles and concepts in Electrical Engineering .
Write and develop functional specifications, design verification plans and test procedures.Execute tasks to aggressive schedules.
Establish development processes to meet industry standards for functionally safe control systems (IEC 61508).A day in the life
You will actively engage with external AC/DC, DC/DC, battery, and VFD suppliers to understand their products and integrate them into robotic automation systems. In learning about the products and our customers you will work with suppliers to design engineering test systems for these products. You will leverage your industry experience and deep dive customer and regulatory demands to integrate these new products into our custom automation systems. There will be active participation within an interdisciplinary team working to iterate on the design optimizing across cost, schedule and time to market.
