As a Technical Program Manager in Fiber Delivery on the Cloud Interconnection + Acquisitions (CI+A) Team you will contribute to building a world-class network infrastructure by working with Metro Dark Fiber, Long-Haul Fiber, subsea, and Lit Wave circuits. With a flexible workplace, you can work from home partially or fully and/or come to the office on a as needed basis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 1+ year(s) experience in Outside plant construction and engineering with a major telecommunication providerequivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) experiencein Outside plant construction and engineering with a major telecommunication provider.
  • 1+ year(s) experience with ISP / OSP construction, Telecom architectural and optical transport
  • 1+ year(s) experience developing comprehensive project plans that outline tasks, milestones, resources, and timelines. This includes creating Gantt charts and project schedules to ensure that all aspects of the project are planned and coordinated effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles related to Outside Plant (OSP) construction and infrastructure
  • Basic fiber optic cables knowledge of cable routing, trenching, and aerial installation methods.
  • Proficiency in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software used for mapping and planning OSP infrastructure
  • Familiarity with tools and equipment used for testing and measuring OSP infrastructure, such as optical time-domain reflectometers (OTDRs), power meters, and fusion splicers.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards governing OSP construction, including safety regulations, environmental regulations, and telecommunications standards.
  • Ability to effectively manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality performance.
  • Ability to develop project plans that outline tasks, milestones, resources, and timelines.
  • Fundamental leadership abilities to direct and inspire project teams to achieve project objectives.
