Job responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Solves difficult technical issues, develops integration elements, builds data models, APIs, and open 3rd-party SDKs

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Proven experience in application design & development
  • Proficient in Python, Django, and TCP/IP Socket programming
  • Good understanding of Celery/Asynchronous APIs
  • Good understanding of algorithms & data structure
  • Groovy/Java experience for Jenkins (Jules JPMC name) scripted pipelines
  • Ability to translate business offering to technical specifications and articulating the business impact of change.
  • Good understanding of Microservices architecture and understanding of RDMS database
  • Proficient in automated testing
  • Expertise with SDLC for Software Development using Lifecycle management including CI/CD
  • Understanding of the Agile model with Kanban and/or Sprint projects management and development modes
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Expertise in Linux/Unix operating systems including Bash/Korn shells
  • Working knowledge of Domain driven design and load balancing domain
  • Basic understanding of NoSQL databases like Cassandra
  • Understanding of Behavior driven design, Kubernetes, GAP, APIGEE and cloud services
