DESCRIPTION

You will be responsible for securing the lab environment, which is used to develop and deliver highly technical training on AWS technologies, including cloud security, machine learning (ML), and Generative AI (GenAI) solutions. In this role, you will work closely with the AWS AppSec security team and AWS Labs team to implement and maintain robust security measures that adhere to latest security requirements for cloud technologies.
Key job responsibilities
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect lab systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Conduct security assessments and audits on lab environments and applications to identify vulnerabilities and risks.- Monitor security systems and respond to security incidents within the lab environment.
- Contribute to the development of security policies and standard operating procedures for the lab.
- Provide support and guidance to lab personnel on security best practices.
- Review security logs and alerts to identify potential threats within the lab.- Conduct security assessments on new lab systems and applications.
- Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies to enhance the lab's security posture.About the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or CFR (CyberSec First Responder) or Cloud+ or CySA+ (CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst) or GCED (GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender) or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or PenTest+
- Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
- 5+ years of experience in Data Center security or information security roles.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and common infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Experience in conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability analysis.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of any combination of the following: threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience
- Experience with AWS products and services
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++
- Cloud Security Certifications
