As Business Operations Intern in Security Engineering, you’ll be directly involved in the business cycle of security design, procurement, installation, and operation management for both EMEA and Gigafactory Berlin. You will assist the team in all the direct purchasing related activities. This includes working with Security Engineering team counterparts in the US to align on global strategy, and ensure local strategy is in line with global strategy. Complete supplier nomination by looking at total landed cost, while ensuring high quality and having the ability to be comfortable in a dynamic, ever-changing environment, is key. You will learn to create suppliers in our system, purchase orders, and make sure that the purchasing process is as smooth as possible.

What You’ll Do
  • You will work with the invoice receipt tool and will ensure that all invoices are processed correctly. In addition, you will support the team with classic accounting tasks such as checking and posting invoices, clarifying accounts as well as verifying payment runs.
  • Develop skills and direct experience of the business operations of a globally distributed team, and strategies for effective management of accounting, ordering, scheduling and prioritization.
  • Gain experience in communicating effectively and persuasively with different audiences (customers, direct labor staff, regional management, executives).
  • Support daily administrative tasks.
  • Practice international project coordination through management support of installation and service projects in locales with varying cultures.
  • Support procurement activities primarily in areas of indirect materials and services
  • Support preparation and execution of RFQs as well as risk management.
What You’ll Bring
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Security, System Engineering and/or Information Science.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 apps or software development toolsets advantageous; Power BI and Excel is a plus
  • Must speak and write English at a level sufficient for business communications.
  • Any previous experience working with finance, accounting and/or security systems is advantageous.
  • Must be eligible and available to work full-time, on-site, in Munich, Germany
