As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you'll play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance and uptime of Akamai's critical security products. You'll analyze system performance end-to-end and work on monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation processes while developing the necessary tools to support them. You'll gain hands-on experience with Azure, Linode, K8s, Kafka, Spark/Flink, and more.

As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Deploying and maintain platforms and tools.
• Developing automation pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborating with engineering teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Improving system monitoring and analysis platform to speed up error detection and remediation, enhancing performance and reliability.
• Working cross-functionally to define cross-organizational processes that ensure robust solutions and system stability.
• Participating in on-call rotations, guiding restoration and repair of service-impacting issues.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 2+ years of relevant SRE experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Have hands-on experience with modern container orchestration (Azure AKS) and at least one cloud provider.
• Have experience with monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager.
• Demonstrate scripting skills in Python, Bash.
• Have experience with ArgoCD/Github Actions
• Show expertise in network, system, application, and database troubleshooting (Network protocols, Linux OS, SQL).
• Maintain a tenacious sense of ownership and accountability in delivering reliable, scalable, and high-performance solutions
