As a Senior Payroll Analyst, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day payroll operations for our multi-state U.S. semi-monthly, Ireland monthly, and Singapore monthly payrolls. This person will be the primary point of contact for employees, managers, and our HR Team to answer urgent payroll-related questions and offer solutions in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for preparing and processing multi-state U.S. semi-monthly, Ireland monthly, and Singapore monthly payrolls timely and accurately.
- Ensure employee records are accurate and in compliance with federal, multi-state wage and hour laws, and company policy.
- Process special payments, bonuses, and off-cycle adjustments as needed,
- Administer wage garnishments, and make certain deductions are being taken in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
- Review and research all payroll exceptions and resolve issues before finalizing payroll.
- Acts as a Payroll partner with Accounts Payable, HR, and Benefits Teams.
- Fund 401(k) contributions through Fidelity.
- Preparation of detailed journal entries for posting to the General Ledger, monthly variance analysis, and reconciling payroll GL accounts.
- Research and prepare ad hoc reports for management and other departments.
- Maintain the shared U.S., EMEA, and APAC Payroll email inboxes responding to inquiries from employees, management, and internal business partners ensuring inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
- Process bonus and commission payments for Canada and UK PEO employees, review invoices, and fund payroll.
- Assist in the year-end W2 reconciliation and distribution.
- Assist with 401(k), Worker’s compensation, and annual PBC audits.
- Review integration file from Workday to ADP Data Bridge for changes to employee records including new hires, pay changes, termination, leave of absence, etc.
- Ensure that all tax agency's notices are uploaded in ADP SmartCompliance and are resolved by ADP in a timely manner.
- Update SUTA tax rates in ADP as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS- 7+ years of full U.S. payroll cycle processing experience with ADP Workforce Now with an understanding of the full end-to-end payroll process as well as integration points and impacts on other functional areas. Ireland payroll is a plus. Workday HR is a plus.
- Knowledge and understanding of Payroll concepts and pay-based calculations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ability to balance the demands of payroll tasks, projects, and customer expectations in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction.
- Must be self-motivated with the capability to think and act independently.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to make payroll decisions and provide guidance to employees.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets (VLookups, Pivot Tables, Sumif(s), etc.).
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to collaborate and provide information to both internal and external customers and resolve issues independently.
- Strong background in Accounting.
- Ability to work in a team setting and communicate effectively with cross-functional groups.
- Ability to become a Subject matter expert in Payroll processes.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- CPP certification is preferred.
