BS degree plus 8 years, OR Master's degree plus 5 years, OR Ph.D. degree plus 3 years of relevant experience and accomplishments.

Supports the development of system and subsystem requirements and architecture. Able to lead this effort for small projects.Provides significant support for the definition and implementation of requirements for subsystems.Able to write requirements for certain features.

Signs off on designs as SDE in areas assigned. Contributes in design reviews for modules and subsystems assigned.Understands and applies design review rigor and design for X techniques: such as design for performance, value, integration, outsourceability, manufacturability, maintainability, diagnostics, serviceability, total cycle time, COGS, quality, reliability, regulatory, etc.

Provides input to allocate system requirements to subsystems.Conducts feasibility or trade off studies to support subsystem architecture design decisions.May develop subsystem specifications and implement them on a subsystem or improvement project.May support the system error budget calculations.

Writes test plans for modules and may lead the data analysis and completion of these tests.Supports high level systems testing and troubleshooting of new systems.Able to write or make significant contributions to the test plans for improvement projects and subsystem/system testing.Provides significant contributions, and may lead the testing of certain subsystems and improvement projects.

Provides contributions to decisions on vendor selection, NRE spending and vendor management.

Able to resolve issues for tools in manufacturing or in the field.Able to provide key contributions for product improvement work.

Able to investigate the development of new features for complex systems.Able to make contributions to the N+1 product roadmap.Familiar with the divisional product roadmaps.

Potential to develop the necessary leadership skills and be a part of change initiative when required for key corporate, functional, and/or group initiatives. Generally focused on changes that impact their program or division.

Able to give effective technical presentations up to the PLC level.

Supports problem solving on complex system issues.Able to support the detailed analysis and tradeoffs for the various solutions.Able to lead the problem solving of cross functional engineers to solve problems with modules or subsystems.

Knowledge with Semiconductor Inspection and Metrology Equipment. (Division specific.)

Determines methods and procedures on new assignments, and may provide guidance to other personnel. Receives guidance from seniors.

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
