Job Responsibilities
- Optimize the business value from both Line of Business and Global Technologies products, delivering best-in-class solutions for today’s and tomorrow’s needs.
- Work with Product Owners, Technology leaders, Application Owners and Business Partners to advocate and incorporate the essential guidance of the CB Architecture "Big Rules" while building solutions for our products.
- Ensure the application of expected practices, platforms, frameworks, and standards as their associated teams build solutions
- Apply Domain driven Design to identify loosely coupled autonomous applications within the application portfolio
- Achieve smart reuse through shared services by identifying and promoting reusable 'business invariant or product invariant' services rather than build overlapping capabilities
- Identify change within your specific area of responsibility and ensure the appropriate governance is applied such that system changes follow approved processes and are documented and approved accordingly
- Create architecture designs that provide technical blueprints for the development teams based on the business concepts, goals & objectives
- Develop multi-year architecture roadmap aligned to our business and technology strategy, drivers and priorities
- Build solid partnership with the Application Development teams, Product Owners, Architects and other key stakeholders
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with public cloud technologies, especially with AWS and Azure, and DevOps processes and tools such as Containers, IaC, CI/CD, etc.
- Strong working experience with big data, data lakes/data mesh/lake house architectures, and ML data engineering processes, tools & techniques
- Keep abreast of advancements in technology and industry trends in the AI/ML space to be able to leverage the right stack for any given problem
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to select or recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
