What You’ll Do
  • Provide engineering support for the design, operation, improvement, and troubleshooting of all facility electrical components and systems, including load flow analysis, equipment evaluation, grounding systems, substations, and power system studies
  • Coordinate downtime activities between maintenance, construction, and manufacturing teams to minimize disruptions
  • Drive electrical distribution improvement and resiliency projects with system risk analysis techniques, power monitoring data, and other advanced detection methods
  • Troubleshoot power quality and electrical system problems, conduct breaker coordination, arc flash studies, and track electrical load and capacity planning. Including Protective Relays, Sequence of operations and SCADA
  • Critical Sparing strategy. Driving procurement needs for equipment maintenance and temporary power solutions
  • Utilizing CMMS system for reactive and preventative maintenance scheduling. Systemizing of electrical system assets
  • Collaborate within interdisciplinary engineering teams to design, optimize, and maintain electrical systems
  • Provide electrical engineering support and training to facility technicians to troubleshoot, operate and maintain existing electrical equipment and controllers
  • Coordinate and understand needs of system customers including Central Utilities systems, Supercharging, Megapack, Solar, Manufacturing and IT
  • Work across sites to determine commonality and implement best practice to improve in electrical asset effectiveness, availability, and maintainability
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent in experience
  • 8-10 years of direct operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.) experience building high-tech infrastructure
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines
  • Medium Voltage equipment including – operating/maintaining the equipment, trouble shooting and programming /adjusting medium voltage relays
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Electric utility substation and distribution power system engineering, maintenance, and operations; electric utility distribution system switchgear; ability to read and understand design intent of electric utility system drawings (one-lines, three-lines, schematics, etc.)
  • Well versed and significant experience in electric utility system safe work practices in accordance with the OSHA, HAZMAT safety protocols and other applicable codes and standards (IEEE C37, C57, etc.); National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E, and IEEE 1584
  • Advanced Knowledge of NEC NFPA 70, NFPA 70B, NETA-ATS, NETA-MTS and electrical OEM recommendations
