Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the design and development of implantable cardiac devices within the Active Implantable Systems (AIS) group

  • Contribute to hands-on prototyping and testing of device components and supporting technologies

  • Create and refine CAD models for implantable systems and related tooling

  • Analyze performance data from bench testing, simulations, or clinical feedback to inform design decisions

  • Apply basic and advanced statistical methods to evaluate design robustness and process performance

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure device safety, reliability, and clinical efficacy across the continuum of care

  • Participate in documentation, design reviews, and validation activities to meet regulatory and quality standards

  • Engage in problem-solving and iterative development to address unmet clinical needs and improve patient outcomes

  • Contribute to innovation efforts that challenge existing paradigms and expand what’s possible in cardiac care

Required Qualifications:

  • Current rising senior (grad dates between Dec 2026 - May 2027), graduating senior (May 2026 grad) continuing on to grad school, or current grad student. Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship to qualify.

  • Working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering

  • Must be able to start internship on May 18thor 26th,2026 and work for 12 weeks

  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work.

  • Hands-on experience with prototyping and testing in academic projects or professional roles

  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for component or system design

  • Basic data and statistical analysis experience (e.g., T-tests to compare group data)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Medical industry experience

  • Strong analytical skills demonstrated through problem-solving and data-driven decision-making

  • Exposure to advanced statistical techniques such as process performance analysis or design of experiments (DOE) a bonus

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams

  • Passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
