About the role:


The Process Engineering Fellow - GSC Acquisitions and Integrations is a key leadership role in pursuit of our Burning Ambition to “ensure the success of acquisition and optimization strategies, creating trusted partnerships and enabling growth.” This role will be responsible for guiding teams supporting the MAKE aspects of integration. This includes, but is not limited to, Production and Process Controls, Facilities and Controlled Work Environments, and Equipment Controls, as well as support for broader Program Management leadership including Product Integration activities.

  • Effectively lead the MAKE Engineering team to provide expertise, resources, structure, and processes to enable successful acquisition integration, with a particular focus on scalable solutions for a growing acquisition workload
  • Partner effectively with GSC acquisition integration leaders as our primary customers to meet and exceed customer needs
  • Partner broadly with GSC, Quality, and Divisional functions and organizations to collaborate to enable successful acquisition integration
  • Help to guide and mentor others to grow and thrive in the acquisitions and integrations domain and ensure best practices are known and followed
  • Operate comfortably in “the grey,” leading through ambiguity, biased to listen to others to seek to understand first
  • Anticipate the needs of future acquisitions, helping to shape the team skillsets and tools as appropriate
  • Seen as a trusted leader and partner in any Acquisition and Integration discussion

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and collaborate closely with key partners in acquisitions and integrations – these include other central orgs, e.g. Quality, IT, Packaging & Labelling, Core Systems, OTC/Distribution, Materials, IE, as well as Divisions and other functional stakeholders
  • Capture, document, deploy, and champion the use of integration best practices, as documented in the AIR playbook and elsewhere
  • Engagement and influence of the global quality system from the acquisition and integration perspective
  • Technical problem solving and risk identification in both planned and unplanned scenarios
  • Participate in program planning activities for new acquisitions, including input to Frame Strategy, Post-Diligence Assessment, and Strategize & Align planning workshops
  • Technical strategy development for production and process controls, product integration, and MAKE integration activities
  • Positively represent the GSC Acquisitions and Integrations team at all times, willing to work through difficult conversations to land at the best outcome for Boston Scientific
  • Build and leverage a strong network within the BSC technical community to access talent, solutions, and ideas to support acquisition integrations

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or closely related science discipline
  • 7+ years professional engineering experience in medical device, preferably in Process Development, Operations, Quality, Project Management/PMO
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong ability to influence, particularly cross-functional and senior-level stakeholders
  • This role will require regular travel, up to 30%, domestic and international

Preferred qualifications:

  • Technical experience in Process Development or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Prior Integration and/or Transfer experience
  • Project Management experience, including Agile methodologies

Maximum Salary: $ 232000

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
