What to Expect

The Technical Training Instructor for Serviceposition requires someone with exceptional ability to assess needs, develop& deliver appropriate training solutions, and build strong workingrelationships and manage regional stakeholders. Individuals must be creative,proactive, organized, flexible, results-oriented, and have a passion for andunderstanding of electric vehicles.

What You’ll Do
  • Partner with Territory Director, Regional Service Managers, Service Managers, Service Coaches, and Training Team to identify training and development needs within their regions and work within markets to enhance core capabilities and ensure continuous process improvements
  • Provide on-site coaching and guidance to support the development of critical service skills as aligned with regional objectives
  • Develop individualized learning plans to ensure service employees and regions meet readiness targets or associated business metrics and review and provide feedback on training curricula developed by the Service Learning & Development team
  • Ensure that Training programs and processes are accurately and effectively communicated to the field
  • Provide ongoing training and development support in the field to ensure a problem-solving mindset is applied and effectively utilized across the Tesla Service domain
  • Provide service specific training on electric vehicles equipped with complex automotive/electromechanical systems (powertrain, passive restraint system, steering/suspension/brakes, thermal management, high voltage DC systems) and exhibit expert knowledge of the methods, techniques, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles
  • Co-coordinate schedule with leaders and training partners supporting service teams in the field
What You’ll Bring
  • S3 technician or higher
  • Degree or certificate from a university program in Automotive Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Strong expertise in automotive system repair and training, including the capacity to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Ability to collaborate with and serve as a partner/consultant to regional leadership and staff
  • Highly skilled with common workplace and database software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Valid passport is preferred, up to 75% travel
