Responsibilities
- Gather and maintain securitization documents such as Prospectuses, Computational Materials, Pooling and Servicing Agreements, Certificate Holder Reports from a variety of sources.
- Analyze, format and input data for mortgage-backed, asset-backed and commercial-backed securities into the financial information system; maintain data accuracy and integrity.
- Gather, prepare, organize and format large amounts of structured finance data for inclusion in analytic software. Make scheduled daily and monthly deliveries of data files to various in-house sources.
- Acquire the skill set in the set-up and maintenance of structured finance deals, the gathering of tranche factors, and reverse engineering the payment waterfall of structured finance securities.
- Support members of the department to ensure the quality and timeliness of modeled securities and various research projects.
- Work with other teams within ICE Data Services (e.g. RDO) to ensure the quality and timeliness of data.
- Make recommendations, as appropriate, regarding new tools and systems that improve workflow.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) and MS-DOS.
- Strong analytical and judgment skills with the ability to comprehend complex materials.
- Candidate will be working the UK shift. However, should be flexible to work under stringent time constraints (e.g. training and working the US shift during month-end production) as per business requirements.
- Good organizational skills with keen attention to detail, especially with respect to data processing and data quality.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Knowledge of financial market concepts and instruments, covering a variety of asset types (e.g., CMO, ABS, CMBS).
- Having SQL/Macro/Advanced Excel or knowledge of any programing language is preferable.
- Interact across teams to understand processes and procedures to help improve whenever possible.
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience working with fixed income markets (preferably Structured Finance)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with using Intex or other structuring tools, or the data and prospectus associated with structured deals.
- Knowledge of and/or experience within Fixed Income Markets, esp. Structured Finance
- Familiarity with the concepts of relational databases, i.e. creating tables and queries in MS Access.
- Knowledge or experience of any scripting language would be a plus.
