Job Description

As Process Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out experiments and making samples on sputter machine following the experiment plan & runsheet provided by Engineer. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively; they will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet. Candidates must be flexible to work a 12hour Shift Pattern and overtime, as required by the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run characterization / evaluations samples on Sputter machine following the experiment plan prepared by Engineer
  • Line setup, KPIV buyoff & validation following machine start-up procedures, feedback any abnormality found to the Engineer and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Check & validate process readback parameters – like voltage, current, gas pressure etc.
  • Carry out Magnetic & Interface measurements for characterization samples. Compile the data in excel sheet and make process adjustments to get target values.
  • Monitor Machine alarms, take appropriate action based on guidelines & instructions provided
  • Carry out periodic samples house keeping & other tasks assigned by Engineer.
  • Support & cooperate with other department to solve assembly issue /MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
  • Comply and support EHS policy. Participate company activities such as IMS, 6S, RBA, BCM, ZDM, etc
Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent
  • 1-2 Years working experience in manufacturing environment with machine operation, data collection & analytical skills is preferred.
  • Working experiences in Sputtering or related field and knowledge of Magnetic materials used in HDD would be an added advantage.
  • Understanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate & detect process changes causing machine alarms.
  • Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook) & Forum Notes
  • Effective team player with proven relationship building & communication skills, including cross-functionally with Production, Process, Yield, and Quality.

SKILLS:

  • Junior/Senior Level Process Technician
  • Technical - Familiarity with sputtering equipment or other vacuum systems.
  • Problem Solving – Proficiency in troubleshooting process controls, process adjustments, data readback from machine, control limits.
  • Communication - Ability to communicate technical information effectively to colleagues and engineers.
  • Safety – Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the manufacturing environment.
  • Teamwork – Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
  • Adaptability - Proficiency in handling emergencies and unexpected equipment failures.
