You will work on development of haptic actuator architecture including concept generation, detailed design, modeling, design for manufacturing, and engineering build and validation. You will be expected to:Generate concepts and solutions to multi-disciplinary haptic related challengesPerform mechanical, magnetic, and electro-mechanical modeling to evaluate and optimize concepts and designsPrototype, evaluate, and debug innovative ideas Design and define mechanical components and assembly schemesDefine detailed specifications and engineering requirementsParticipate in the development of new manufacturing and assembly processes with external vendors (including
periodic international travel) • Validate and characterize designs through multiple iterations Conduct failure analysis and design of experiments (DOEs) to resolve root cause and implement corrective actions • Generate new intellectual property You will be working in a collaborative environment with multi-functional teams that specialize in diverse areas of expertise. Collaborating with the design studio and system engineering groups to define and achieve experience goals Designing for manufacturability with Process, Manufacturing Design, Technical Operations, and other cross-functional teams Communicating multi-functionally and throughout management structure on a regular basis (written, verbal, and presentation) Managing and tracking multiple priorities within schedule requirements Leading design reviews and design documentation releases
