DESCRIPTION

Key job responsibilities
* Guide the installation of complex cross-functional projects with considerable impact. Projects may span organizations or geographies to assist business goals.
* Work with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver cross-functional projects that are of a high-quality (e.g., on-time, on-budget, maintainable, low-defects, etc.).
* Contribute to project priorities, establishing milestones, and driving schedules to meet a deadline. Establish, capture and present KPI metrics to evaluate success and failure of project.
* Deep dive technical solutions that encompass advanced technology applications, conveyor hardware selection, material handling integration, and commissioning content and expectations.
* Participate in design reviews and assist with execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors including equipment specifications, material flow, process design, and site layout.
* Communicate project status, effectively answer project questions in detail, and regularly produce clear and concise summaries for the projects you own to your program management team.* Identify process improvement initiatives to help operations, deployment, or engineering teams within a geographic node.
* Travel up to 75% throughout North America, which can vary based on peak seasons.A day in the life

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience designing, architecting, or integrating new or existing systems
- Experience designing and integrating servos, safety systems and pneumatic / analog / digital sensors in industrial automation or robotics
- Proficiency in programming experience with PLCs like Allen-Bradley PLCs, Siemens PLCs, and/or Soft PLCs/IPCs, in structured text (ladder logic is optional)
- Experience with Bosch Rexroth systems or Nidec motors or similar servos
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, OPC-UA, Modbus).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
- Experience developing controls code utilizing Codesys platform
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language like C++/Java
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508, OSHA).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and partnership abilities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
