VLSI Operations Manager with SoC Design Knowledge

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Lead and manage VLSI projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, verification, layout, and testing, to drive project success.

  2. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support VLSI operations and meet project deliverables. Optimize resource utilization and capacity planning to maximize efficiency and productivity.

  3. Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in VLSI operations, including design methodologies, tools, and workflows. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

  4. SoC Design Knowledge: Utilize in-depth knowledge of SoC design principles, architectures, and methodologies to guide and support VLSI design teams. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to ensure successful execution of SoC projects.

  5. Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality assurance processes and standards for VLSI operations, with a focus on SoC design quality and reliability. Implement quality control measures and perform regular audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

  6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks and challenges in VLSI operations, including technical, schedule, and resource-related risks. Develop contingency plans and proactive strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure on-time delivery.

  7. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning to drive professional growth and development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.

• 3+ years of working with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA is preferred.

  • 8+ years of proven experience in VLSI operations management, with a strong background in SoC design and development.

  • 5+ years of expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. PMP certification is a plus.

  • Deep understanding of SoC design principles, architectures, and methodologies, including RTL design, synthesis, and verification.

  • Familiarity with EDA (Electronic Design Automation) tools and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software used in VLSI design.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and drive effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams to achieve results.
