  • Perform all duties and activities related to People Management.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for large and mid-sized projects.
  • Collaborate with Project Management and technical staff to deliver key projects.
  • Experienced in managing small to mid-sized teams.
  • Capable of working across boundaries to maintain the one-team concept, coordinating with resources globally.
  • Skilled in building effective teams, processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Serve as the primary technical contact and initial escalation point for Cloud Operations during IST time zone.
  • Lead technical Cloud activities during execution and the Hypercare period, such as migrating applications from on-premises to the Cloud.
  • Ensure operational continuity and smooth execution by setting proactive guidelines for Cloud Operations.
  • Assist Project Management in project planning and delivery acceptance.
  • Confirm that new Cloud workloads comply with Nokia Security standards and guardrails.
  • After Cloud migration, assist the Cloud Operations provider in ensuring a smooth transition to regular operations.
  • Possess strong working knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Adept at managing Cloud containers.
  • Proficient in deploying Cloud containers in both public and private clouds.
  • Skilled in automating the creation of Platform as a Service (PaaS) infrastructure using industry-standard tools like Ansible and Terraform.
  • Knowledgeable in Cloud Security Monitoring.
  • Experienced in Cloud Vulnerability patching.
  • Able to perform Cloud Backup/Restore activities.
  • Competent in conducting Cloud Security scanning with tools like Qualys.

The Cloud Operations Manager has distinct managerial responsibilities for personnel, often serving as the first level of direct management. This role involves interpreting policies, ensuring the implementation of existing plans, and executing or supervising processes to fulfill customer requirements. It encompasses the analysis, design, and development of policies, plans, and programs.Carries out specialized activities/projects according to general direction. Influences others to support decisions. Works mostly independently. Analyze situations or data that requires review of relevant factors. Solutions can often be checked and proved. Demonstrates success in multiple roles and is adaptable to manage complex changing business environments.Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function and teams, and typically has responsibilities for communicating with parties external to the organization, which may include customers or vendors. Works to influence others to accept job function’s view/practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches. Has cross-cultural knowledge and global mindset Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership regarding matters of significant importance to the organization. May conduct briefings with senior leaders within the job function. May at times be required to negotiate regarding operational issues.Management Experience / Achieved well-advanced skills of a specific professional discipline combining deep knowledge of theory and organizational practice or expertise. Recognized expert in their field (depth & breadth). Typically requires 5-8 years extensive relevant experience and/or a graduate / postgraduate equivalent degree.

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing a small to mid-sized Operations Team
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Google and Azure Cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Skilled in managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Proficient with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Cloud technologies, including Kubernetes, and experience in managing public cloud deployments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Supports Incident Management to ensure rapid service recovery.
  • Facilitates Change Management processes to minimize business impact.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Capable of managing conflicts among team members.
  • Skilled in prioritizing critical project deliverables.
  • Competent in building effective teams, processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Adept at mentoring, training, and enhancing the skills of new team members.
