As a Plant Engineering Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Applies broad knowledge and extensive experience to develop solutions for multi-faceted, interrelated and complicated problems. Identifies and oversees the development and implementation of projects, operational, policy and procedural improvements to improve safety, adherence to standards, increase efficiency and reduce cost.
  • Initiates actions to lead projects, beginning to link project steps to business strategies and report to supervisor on key milestones and critical initiatives.
  • Schedule, assign, and direct craftspeople in performance of tasks for installation, maintenance of equipment and/or facilities for Plant Engineering. Provides and develops proper tools, equipment and information including any changes that may affect their work. Acquire or develop appropriate maintenance and troubleshooting documentation to assure effective and consistent procedures for equipment maintenance. Ensure appropriate use of computerized maintenance record systems to contribute to efficiency of operations and to assure availability of information for future decisions relating to Plant Engineering functions.
  • Has responsibilities for facility services, maintenance, reliability, mechanical integrity and contractor management.
  • Willingness to be on-call

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years ofmanufacturing/industrialexperience in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Five (5) years of plant engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Mechanical reliability experience
  • Skills include leadership, organization and communication.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
