Responsibilities:
• Maintaining accounting records, drawing up statistical, tax and financial reporting, as well as reporting to the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan
• Compliance with IFRS provisions, requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on accounting and tax legislation
• Providing advice on issues related to accounting, tax control and fulfillment of tax obligations
• Development of accounting methodology, policies, processes and tools for accounting and tax accounting
• Distribution of work and verification of the work results of junior staff (for example, recognition in the accounting of business transactions, draft responses to clients, draft tax reporting, draft explanations for notifications and requirements of tax authorities, etc.), training (coaching) of junior staff
• Monitoring compliance with internal deadlines and deadlines established by law, analyzing client information and developing practical solutions to client problems
• Keeping track of the latest changes and events in the field of taxation and accounting
• Timely implementation of risk management procedures and other duties within their competence
Requirements:
• Higher education in accounting (Accounting/Finance/Economics)
• Certificate of Professional Accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan and / or ACCA, DipIFR, CIMA training will be an advantage
• At least 3-5 years of experience in the field of accounting, control and tax reporting
• Advanced accounting skills in 1C, good knowledge of Excel and other Office applications
• Experience with SAP and Oracle accounting systems will be an advantage
• Experience in processing large amounts of data, automating accounting processes will be an advantage
• Good knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, incl. Foreign trade activities (import/export)
• Skills in researching regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on controversial issues in terms of accounting and taxation, administrative practice of interpretation by tax authorities and / or courts
• Advanced time management skills, experience working on multiple projects with high quality work results
• Critical thinking and professional skepticism
• Responsibility, proactivity and effective teamwork
• Proficiency in English at a level not lower than Upper-Intermediate
• Experience in interaction with banks, tax and other government authorities
