Your key responsibilities
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleagues
- Sign simple to moderate tax returns
- Explore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to EY by consistently providing high quality work
- Supervise day to day operations and engagement milestones with little or no manager involvement
- Demonstrate leadership skills in developing the highest performing teams
- Help managers and senior managers with advisory and ad-hoc projects
- Develop engagement and financial management skills
- Contribute process improvement ideas leading to higher quality service delivery to the client
- Identify opportunities to leverage information and resources across assignments and teams
- Facilitate teaming and manage conflicts
- Motivate and inspire team members
- Demonstrate leadership and executive presence
- Coach team members
Skills and attributes for success
- Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge
- Effective communication skills by being articulate, thoughtful and adapting communications to target audiences; interacting effectively in person, by phone and in writing
- Team management skills
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Graduates or Postgraduates preferred
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Basic MS office knowledge
