About the opportunity The purpose of this role is to perform process engineering design in a career / senior role as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This role may serve as a proposal manager to the projects to which they will be assigned. You will support business development activities through client meetings, business marketing events and proposal support. You should be able to define, manage and deliver process oriented projects and have flexibility of approach to all projects – work would typically be performed as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering design team but could equally be a small, one-person engineering study. Additionally, you would; Prepare engineering design work: - Feasibility, conceptual & detailed process engineering design. - Process engineering calculation work. - Process design drawing preparation. - Prepare specification documents such as datasheets and written specifications. Technical writing: - Study reports. - Manuals (e.g. Operations, Installations & Maintenance). - Procedures (e.g. Commissioning & Start-up, Standard Operating Procedure). - Prepare tender documentation - Prepare engineering & contract documents. - Technical & commercial bid review work. - Other duties as requested from time to time. - Occasional travel will be required both locally and abroad
Preferably Bachelors’ degree in Chemical Engineering with professional engineering qualifications, or relevant experience. - 10-15 years’ professional experience in a relevant industry (e.g. Water Industry). - Qualification and training will demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development. - The candidate is most likely to have a general process engineering background with prior success in contribution to successfully delivered engineering design projects. - Consulting experience is desirable. - Experience should show senior process involvement in multi-disciplinary complex engineering design projects. - A demonstrable track record of producing process engineering design work. - Both site and office experience should be shown, as well as a track record of delivering to time and agreed quality. - Has participated in team building initiatives and comfortable to work in a matrix structure.
