Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Automation Engineer (Remote – Multiple Openings) in Minneapolis, MN.

Essential Responsibilities:

Create, test, implement and support robotics process and/or automations. Participate in overall development cycle, driving best practices and ensuring development of high-quality code for assets and framework components. Design and deliver solutions that can be deployed quickly and in an automated fashion. Perform design, scripting, testing, implementing, maintaining, and modifying automations of moderate complexity, significance, and risk. Create comprehensive test plans and test cases. Overcome technical obstacles related to code infrastructure, build, deployment, or operations. Advocate for technologies, frameworks, design patterns and guiding principles for software lifecycle. Assess business needs and convert requirements into solutions that align with the product roadmap and are robust, scalable, and operational. Define automation data needs across systems and create a plan to coordinate this test data. Implement tools and frameworks for automating data management and validation. Perform, and at times, lead clients and team to investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems. Work in an agile environment and with CI/CD toolchains. Establish standards and best practices to monitor, test, automate, and maintain components or systems. Prepare documentation that describes automation capabilities and operating procedures. Develop plans and schedules, estimate resource requirements, and define milestones and deliverables. Monitor workflow and risks, play leadership role in mitigating risk and removing obstacles. Conduct analysis of organizational needs for the creation and implementation of automation solutions. Participate in feasibility assessments of new automation opportunities and help determine best approach for automation. Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology field plus 5 years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, Analyst, Consultant, Specialist, or related occupation.

Required Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology field plus 5 years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, Analyst, Consultant, Specialist, or related occupation. Must possess at least three (3) years of experience with coordinating software-testing activities and experience with at least three of the following: Java, Oracle, TestNG, Rest API, Junit, Selenium, VB Script, TOAD, Jenkins, Maven, Git, Swagger, or JSON. Must possess at least one (1) year with three of the following: Jira, Cassandra, Springboot, Kibana, Cucumber, Appium, Python, Groovy, Xcode, or Postman.

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, Analyst, Consultant, Specialist, or related occupation and all the skills listed above, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology field plus 3 years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, Analyst, Consultant, Specialist, or related occupation and at least three (3) years of experience with coordinating software-testing activities and experience with at least three of the following: Java, Oracle, TestNG, Rest API, Junit, Selenium, VB Script, TOAD, Jenkins, Maven, Git, Swagger, or JSON. Must possess at least one (1) year with three of the following: Jira, Cassandra, Springboot, Kibana, Cucumber, Appium, Python, Groovy, Xcode, or Postman.
