This position is part of SAP’s Global Accounting, Reporting & Tax department, which reports directly to the CFO. The department ensures the completeness and accuracy of SAP’s IFRS accounting and external financial reporting under both German and U.S. law. It is structured into several specialized teams

You will be joining the Corporate Revenue Recognition Team, a dynamic group at the forefront of SAP’s evolving commercial landscape.
What you'll doIn this role, you’ll be a key contributor to SAP’s 360 initiative, which involves parallel purchase and sales activities across a customer. You’ll provide deal support for complex transactions, especially those involving countertrade structures, and ensure they meet IFRS 15 requirements.
Your responsibilities will include
- Guiding revenue recognition and collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Procurement, Product Management, and Business Owners to align on deal structures and accounting implications.
- Documenting and enforcing accounting standards, particularly around countertrade transactions.
- Maintaining and evolving SAP’s Revenue Recognition Guideline under IFRS 15.
- Supporting external audits and ensuring high-quality documentation under tight deadlines, especially during quarter-end close.
What you bring
- At least 10 years of experience in a publicly listed company reporting under IFRS or in an auditing firm.
- Proven experience in revenue recognition, ideally in a finance or commercial role.
- Familiarity with auditor alignment, especially in high-stakes, time-sensitive environments
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESWe’re looking for someone with:
- A university degree in Accounting, Auditing, or Finance.
- A professional qualification such as CPA is a strong plus.
- Deep expertise in IFRS, especially IFRS 15 or ASC 606: Revenue from Contracts with Customers.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- A proactive mindset and business acumen to navigate complex deal structures
