You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. - Function as the single threaded relationship manager for a strategic supply partner that provides design, development, manufacturing and integration services for AWS servers and server rack integration.
- Matrix manage all aspects of supplier performance including cost, quality, capacity, delivery, compliance, sustainability and overall supply strategy.
- Negotiate and execute complex supplier agreements, statements of work and other contracts by working with cross-functional leads.- Deliver AWS’s cost objectives through detailed understanding of all cost drivers and bill of material reviews.
- Manage vendor escalations and provide executive level updates as required.- Identify key technology trends in the industry and drive supplier product roadmaps that align with AWS’s technical development and manufacturing initiatives.Diverse Experiences

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.
- 6+ years of strategic sourcing or procurement of hardware, or 4+ with advanced degree.
- 3+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, etc.
- Minimum of 5 years of related supply chain experience in cloud computing, high technology or consumer electronics.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of global supply chain processes and practices. Demonstrated ability to negotiate and execute complex global sourcing contracts.
- Experience creating, iterating, and improving end-to-end global sourcing procurement and supply chain strategies utilizing third party Manufacturing.
- Experience with international procurement, trade and incoterms.
- Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.
- MBA or advanced degree in engineering, operations research, logistics, mathematics or other quantitative disciplines.
