Project/Program Engineer
What a Project/Program Engineer does in HP:
- Leads moderate to high complexity projects , delivering professionally written reports, and supports the realization of operational and strategic plans.
- Understands the technical concepts, architecture, systems, development methods, and disciplines associated with the defined program , and utilizes knowledge to accelerate project completion.
- Leads the deployment, launch, and continuous improvement of new technologies & process automation d eveloped within the company's worldwide engineering team.
- Develops schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, logistics, and other support requirements for assigned program in collaboration with both the company & contract manufacturing teams.
- Coordinates activities of supporting project teams and internal and external development partners; tracks progress against established plan and makes decisions to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.
- Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to implement changes to product, process, or program plan to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules.
- Leads bug tracking resolution and reporting of program risks, status, and options for resolution to executive management.
- Solves difficult and complex problems with a fresh perspective, demonstrating good judgment in selecting creative solutions and managing projects independently.
- Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in engineering development and implementation, project planning tools and software packages, people management, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
