In addition, your duties will be to:
- Provide technical input for projects for consulting projects delivered by Jacobs
- Develop further technical and high-level commercial skills on such projects.
- Formulate and develop innovative solutions to complex problems that are characterized by lack of precedent and specific guidance
- Develop technical skills in areas of specialization and for ability to deliver solutions requiring the integration of a diverse range of specialist inputs
- Leverage senior practitioners across the region and globally to support consulting projects
- Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver goals and targets of the Project Consulting section and wider Buildings and Infrastructure team throughout Jacobs
- Provide technical input and high-level thinking to support “Front end” / consulting projects (master planning, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, optimization projects, thought leadership and training) for clients across Jacobs key target sectors of Cities & Places, Buildings, Urban Planning, Transportation, Water and Environment
- Work collaboratively with existing Jacobs practitioners regionally and globally to refine and define this service offering and leads the strategic growth of this service offering.
- Provide key technical input and linkages to technical, economic, and financial consulting capability within Jacobs globally
- Track and contribute to industry developments - ensures Jacobs is applying the latest technical developments
- Targets important areas for innovation and develops solutions that address work issues
- Keeps abreast of new methods and developments impacting Jacobs in order to recommend change to current or new direction
- Liaises with research bodies and leading technical individuals or organizations locally
Here's what you'll need
About You:
- As a successful candidate you will have a degree in Engineering, Economics, Business or equivalent and will have proven experience as a technical professional on projects.
- A minimum of 8 plus years of strong experience in the provision of strategic consulting work or consulting advice in a Project manager capacity.
- The ability to deliver high quality outputs under tight time frames.
- An understanding of and ability to follow company and client policies and procedures.
- Self-motivation, with capacity to work both independently and as part of a team (including virtual teams spread over multiple locations).
- Ability to think analytically and logically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent report writing capabilities Previous experience within the Middle East or international consulting industry would be highly regarded.
