As a
Technical Engineering Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Lead and supervise a team of manufacturing process engineers along with performance management, KPI’s, training and coaching technical abilities of engineering team.
  • Supporting EHS initiatives and MOC process change management throughout the technical team to support a strong EHS culture.
  • Drive OEE, product Yield quality and productivity improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and value stream methodologies.
  • Coordinate new product development NPI, PPU/ Qualifications and technology advancement, serve as primary plant technical contact.
  • Develop the technical roadmap aligned to the key business objectives, deploying capital projects, equipment start-up & qualifications and deliver AFE commitments.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement leading cross functional teams to plan and implement of projects, deliver cost reduction initiatives and developing a culture of lean manufacturing, problem solving and accountability.

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Five (5) years of manufacturing engineering and/or process engineering experiencein a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience supervising engineers and/or leadership role in manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership ability and history of leading high-performance teams.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with new product introductions, plant expansions, equipment start-up & qualifications, process and OEE improvement.
  • Experience and certification with Lean Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Project management tools and ability to effetely use statistics in analyzing process data.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills to manage different priorities.
