What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with technology companies within the utility industry. Identifying key stakeholders and decision-makers to collaborate with on the promotion and adoption of virtual power plant technology using Tesla residential energy products

  • Participate in the development of strategic partnership plans to drive virtual power plant adoption, targeting utilities, municipalities, and energy service providers

  • Be an expert on Tesla’s suite of residential energy products, including Powerwall, and effectively communicate their benefits to potential partners and customers within the utility sector

  • Analyze the market and identify potential opportunities for virtual power plant projects, taking into account the unique needs and challenges of each utility while championing best practices for good customer outcomes

  • Prepare comprehensive proposals and negotiate contracts to secure virtual power plant installations and partnerships

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations, to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to identify competitive advantages and enhance sales strategies

What You’ll Bring
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects with a high degree of complexity

  • Strong interest in energy industry, including utility operations, grid management, and renewable energy integration

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including utility executives, engineers, and government officials

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to identify opportunities and overcome challenges in the virtual power plant adoption space. And a track record of developing successful complex programs

  • Proficient in contract negotiations and adept at finding win-win solutions that align with both parties’ objectives

  • Proven leadership skills to inspire and motivate partners and drive successful project implementation

  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with potential partners and attend industry conferences and events
