5 years of experience managing an industry lab (e.g. semiconductor fabrication or hardware research facility).
Experience with safety regulations and protocols in a research environment.
Experience with maintenance of lab facilities with vacuum, electrical test systems, liquid nitrogen, and other hazards/chemicals.
Experience managing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing construction in a research and development setting.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, certification in vocational programs, or equivalent practical experience.
Proficiency with troubleshooting vacuum, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and software systems down to a block/board level.
Proficiency with electro-mechanical measurements (e.g., oscilloscopes, generators, calipers, etc.).
Proficiency in maintaining lab facilities infrastructure including PCW, CDA, N2, LN2, and HEPA filters.
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Onshape, Solidworks, AutoCad, ProEngineer), carpentry machining, welding, brazing, soldering and other joining methods, power tools, and CNCs.
Ability to provide safety guidance for developing chemical processes, equipment, and laboratory design.
