This individual will Work as part of a team of Monitoring Engineers to enhance the observability of all Wholesale Technology applications using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace. They will work with internal IT partners in evaluating and gathering requirements for establishing and/or enhancing application monitoring, observability, resiliency, and incident management. They will be responsible for performing post-mortem review of Incidents and analyze the gaps in Observability that can help reduce overall MTTR. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with Payments Technology application support teams in triaging active Incidents using Observability tools and proactively increase the visibility into Payments Technology applications by increasing coverage and building dashboards and perform problem tracking, diagnosis and root-cause analysis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex issues. In this capacity, performs programming and debugging activities.

1. Partner with senior business leaders to understand business strategy and work in cross-functional teams to drive successful strategic outcomes.
2. Lead analysis of business and user needs, requirements documentation, performance measurement, and the interpretation of results for both internal and external stakeholders.
3. Lead analysis effort to gather, formulate, define, and design solutions to the most complex business problems.
4. Analyze, design, and maintain data sources in information systems in support of projects, information needs, and changing requirements.
5. Measure client interaction in order to improve client experience, digital adoption, and marketing segmentation using various analytics tools (SAS, Adobe Analytics, R, Python, etc.).
6. Apply subject-matter expertise, industry knowledge, and technical understanding to recommend actions to business leaders.
7. Act as team leader for projects with large budgets or intermediate-long duration.
8. Bring industry best practices to the team and incorporate in solutions.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, or Information Technology-related field, or equivalent education and related training
2. Seven to ten years of experience in analysis and design
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
4. Exceptional analytical and creative problem solving skills - ability to generate actionable insight and recommendations from complex analytics and large datasets
5. Ability to work independently or as a member of a team
6. Advanced proficiency in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
7. Working knowledge of analytical toolsets such as SAS (Enterprise Guide & Miner), SQL, R Studio, Python, Data warehousing
8. Understanding and implementation experience with enterprise digital marketing optimization and analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Marketing Cloud Platform, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Audience Manager (DMP))


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Three to four years of demonstrated experience with distributed systems in Information Technology with focus on Web/Middleware based systems.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in application development/support.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed for planned and unplanned efforts across a geographically dispersed team.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, oral and written communication within a business and technical context, with ability to present technology requests and designs to associates and management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of DMZ security technologies is highly desired including LDAP.
  • Experience with Azure and AWS cloud.
  • Familiarity with load balancing methods.
  • Experience with ServiceNow incidents and requests.
  • Familiarity with Dynatrace, Splunk, xMatters.
  • Experience with the installation, configuration, and integration of multi-environment deployments for MuleSoft, Apige Edge, Pega, IBM DataPower, Tibco, Microsoft IIS, IBM WebSphere, Apache
  • Knowledge in networking, database, and servers in a medium to large corporation at the enterprise level or similar consulting experience.
  • Basic understanding of PowerShell automation and scripting (bash, perl, python, etc).
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Linux, AIX, Windows Operating System. Mainframe experience a plus.



Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
