Work with engineering teams to build, assemble and install new equipment for proof of concept (pilot / prototype) and mass-production: Robots / automation, tools / fixtures, machine safe-guarding / fencing, process fixtures, cable trays, piping and various other fixtures
Fabricate / build equipment and tools to optimize production process and resolve equipment issues
Participate in process / equipment design reviews to ensure optimization for manufacturability and maintenance
Investigate and implement countermeasures to improve Process, Quality, Safety, and Cycle-Time. Identify areas of improvement & work with engineering and/or maintenance groups to schedule & execute modifications for measurable improvement
Work with the Engineering team to diagnose and implement countermeasures to any production process issues (Yield, Quality, Cycle Time, Cost, Ergonomics, Safety, Process Flow, Efficiency improvements)
Day to day coverage of Production recovery and emergency response
Support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives and manage projects involving multiple departments and/or outside contractors
What You’ll Bring
Completion of a maintenance or millwright apprenticeship or equivalent OJT experience is preferred
3+ years of trade experience in a manufacturing environment and 3+ years of experience with Forklift, Boom lift, Scissor lift, fall protection. 3+ years of experience with Forklift, Boom lift, Scissor lift, fall protection
Able to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings. Schematic understanding of Hydraulic, pneumatic, or 24 volt Electrical
Proven experience with welding / fabrication, machining, building machine safeguarding (line enclosures). Safe use of all hand and power tools
Good computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office, Bonus if you have Hydraulic, pneumatic, or 24volt Electrical understanding
Strong Mechanical aptitude & problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
Proven strong and flexible attendance – occasional weekends and holiday work may be required
Must have command of the English Language, both written and verbal

Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump cap and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
