He/She should have demonstrated ability to think logically about technical challenges, with the ability to break down and resolve issues independently. As well as:
- Experience working in GIS Systems
- Understanding of Underground Construction Techniques
- Understanding of Outside and Inside Plant Cabling and Routing
- Engineering and process design methodology
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to work across multiple time zonesKey job responsibilities
As a Fiber Engineer, you will have the exciting opportunity to help create design fiber solutions, processes, and maintain records surrounding our fiber optic infrastructure. You will:- Create engineering design and documents, single line drawings and cable routing and splicing work packages.
- Ingest and audit GIS data for completeness and accuracy

- BS or MS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience in an IT-related field.
- 2+ years experience working in GIS Systems.
- 3+ years experience in project/program management with a proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
- 5+ years of outside/inside plant engineering experience.

- Programming language to assist in data and GIS analysis
