Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Credit Trading Desk Analyst:
1. Perform credit due diligence to determine credit risk and relative value: analyze company reports, collect data, participate in company calls, attend conferences and investor meetings, question management, engage industry experts and model expectations
2. Make credit research recommendations in support of RENTD capital
3. Supplement clients’ research with additional credit support
4. Directly support sales with supplemental credit teach-ins, participation in client calls and buy-side sales meetings
5. Directly support traders by monitoring and advising on desk positions and trading levels
6. Support the debt capital markets process by analyzing new bonds issues, educating S&T and buy-side on new issue credit risk and relative value, and providing client feedback and inquiry back to the syndicate desk
Analyst III Level:
1. Applies experience to conduct research at several levels: macro, industry and individual companies.
2. Handles most client inquiry, both written and oral, with limited senior analyst guidance.
3. Proficient in building models at the industry and company levels. Can produce market forecasts, revenue forecasts, and estimates for profit with limited input from the senior analyst
4. Independently conducts complex valuation analysis and is able to formulate investment ideas with guidance from the senior analyst.
5. Independently drafts research commentary.
6. Works closely with capital markets, S&T to help leverage the analysts' research product into our client base.
Required Qualifications:

1. BA/BS degree
2. CFA Level 3 candidate or equivalent knowledge
3. Licenses required: Series 7, Series 63, Series 52 (muni analyst only)
4. Minimum of 2 years of related work experience since graduation from an undergraduate program
5. Proven analytical ability and attention to detail
6. Solid leadership and interpersonal skills
7. Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
8. Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 3 years of related work experience since graduation from an undergraduate program; CFA Level 3 Candidate
- The annual base salary for this position in New York is $110,000
