Troubleshoot complex systems and identify issues by reviewing electrical diagrams & code
Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, process engineering, quality engineering, and maintenance engineering to ensure manufacturing test equipment meet and exceed expectations. Understand shortcomings when expectations are not met
Design & implement electrical, mechanical and/or software improvements to released test equipment
Perform data analysis such as SPC and voice of the customer (VOC) discussions to understand challenges with manufacturing test equipment, and advocate for solutions that align with both equipment and production goals
Define most efficient plan for testing, automating and improving focusing on time/cost reduction and low complexity to promptly release new automation and test equipment
Lead uptime (HW reliability, software faults, maintenance schedules, etc.), and cycle time and FPY improvements on manufacturing test equipment
Understand engineering first principles of test equipment and have a system level grasp of operations to serve as a key contact for the design team and site operations
Participate in initial equipment conceptual development and carefully balance product specifications, process requirements, layout complexity, cost, and lead-time limits
