The Senior Director, Software Engineering Accounts Payable will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technology aspects of our Accounts Payable organization. This position requires a strong leader with expertise in software engineering, as well as a deep understanding of Accounts Payable processes. The Senior Director will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payments for all Walmart suppliers on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy:
Lead a global team of 150 associates, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
Set the strategy and direction for engineering excellence within the Accounts Payable organization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology initiatives with overall business goals.
Drive innovation, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and identify opportunities for process optimization.
2. Technology Oversight:
Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of software solutions to support Accounts Payable processes.
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the technology infrastructure.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
3. Talent Management:
Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent, fostering a diverse and inclusive team culture.
Provide ongoing development and growth opportunities for team members. - Conduct performance evaluations, promote career development, and address performance issues when necessary.
